The ‘Martial Arts’ were created to be a defensive art to provide protection to oneself and to protect others who cannot defend themselves.  A true martial artist must learn both ‘defensive’ and ‘offensive’ techniques to survive. Honor and respect of humanity guides a true martial artist to choose to use their skills for uplifting life, not to exploit it for greed and lustful desires. To see the potential in life for attaining a higher standard of living and creative development is a worthwhile goal.
